TIRES and WHEELS: 8" steel wheels 10 inch wheels add 100 lbs- DOT tires ONLY.. Street legal RADIAL tires 60 series permitted or Hoosier IMCA STAMPED G-60 tires.
BODY: Car must have a stock steel OEM body, with firewall and floor pan. The trunk may be cut out. A 4-inch spoiler may be used. After market plastic nose and tail pieces allowed. Cutting allowed for tire clearance. No wedge noses pieces allowed
(ENGINE option A): Block, heads, crank, rods, pistons, must be stock replacement parts or factory stock. No dome pistons must be flat top or dished. No Dart, Bowtie, or other racing heads or blocks allowed. Headers are permitted. Any intake No porting or polishing of the heads or intake manifold. Maximum One inch carburetor spacer. Hydraulic cams only. NO roller cams. NO solid lift cams, NO stud girdles, NO dual valve springs allowed. Roller rockers Okay, Stud mount rocker/arms ONLY. NON Vortec head engines receive 50lb weight reduction. GM engines must have 3.48 stroke and a maximum 4.060 bore with 361 cubic inch maximum allowed. Ford engines stock stroke with 362 cubic inch maximum. Chrysler engines stock stroke with 370 cubic inch maximum. Weight 3100lbs

(ENGINE option C):
No after market blocks or heads. Cranks, rods, pistons, must be factory stock replacement. No dome pistons must be flat top or dished. Stock diameter values springs. Roller Rocker OKAY .No dual Value Springs. Stud Mount Rockers Arms ONLY. Flat Tappet Cams Only
NO Roller Cams. No porting or polishing of heads or intake. Single Two barrel Holly 500 CFM carburetor part number 4412. Weight 9lbs per cubic inch. 3,000lbs MINIMUM.
FUEL SYSTEM: This applies to (Engine option A) ONLY Any stock carburetor or 600 CFM maximum vacuum secondary. Holley may be used. Gas only. No electric or belt drive fuel pumps are allowed. A 1" maximum adapter or spacer may be used. OPTION: Cars may run a stock 500 CFM Holley 2-barrel carburetor. Must pass “go, no go” test. (Engine option B) any four barrel carburetor. (Engine option C) stock 4412 two barrel carburetor only.
SUSPENSION AND FRAME: Suspension must be stock front and rear. The frame must be stock front and rear. Tubular Upper A-arms OKAY. Trailing arms CAN NOT be adjustable. Stock spindles and brakes only. No coil over shocks or simulated coil over shocks allowed. Springs may be shimmed. Springs must be 5" in diameter, minimum. Stock steering box only. Steering quickner OKAY. You may make the steering shaft from box to steering wheel. No bars outside of body. Screw Jacks OK.
TRANSMISSION AND REAR END: Stock automatic or manual transmission only. No racing transmission or quick change rear end allowed. Automatic transmissions must have torque converter. Manual transmissions must have a working clutch. Rear end may be locked. No wide five hubs allowed. Bert or Brinn OKAY add 100 lbs of weight.
WEIGHT: Minimum weight with the driver anytime. Using (Engine option A) 3,100 lbs. (Engine option B) 3,000 pounds. (Engine option C) 9 pounds per cubic inch. If using a Bert or Brinn transmission add 100 lbs. weight. |
