DINGUS GRIFFIN PICKS UP SLM WIN AT TST

Eastaboga, AL (May 17, 2008) – Dingus Griffin led all thirty-laps of the Super Late Model feature en route to his first win of the 2008 racing season Saturday Night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on Saturday Night.

With the win, Griffin becomes the ninth different winner in ten races at the Hornets Nest during the 2008 racing season.

Tim Busha finished in the second spot with Danny Peoples third.  Terry Smith finished fourth with Chris Mullinax rounding out the top five.

Adam Martin used a lucky break to pick up the win in Crate Late Model action.  Martin grabbed the lead coming off of turn four on the final lap for the victory.  Jimmy Elkins finished in the second spot with Logan Yates third.

Shane Criswell picked up the twenty-five lap Sportsman feature win over Dustin Stewart in second and Joe Noojin third.

Tony Gray picked up his first win of the season in IMCA Modified action on Saturday Night over David Newton in second and Shane Strickland third.

Tony Miles won the fifteen lap Thundercar feature over Adam Magouirk in second and Al Reynolds third.

Eric Layfield won the Street Stock feature with Corey Pressley winning the ten-lap Hot Shot feature event.

TST is back in action this Saturday Night May 24^th featuring a full race program in all seven exciting divisons.  Gates will open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 6:30PM and racing at 7:30PM.
