TIMMY RUNFOLA PICKS UP HOT SHOT SUMMER
CHAMPIONSHIP WIN AT TALLADEGA
Eastaboga, AL – (June 27, 2009) – Timmy Runfola survived the twelve-lap Hot Shot feature to pick up the win in the Summer Championship event on Saturday Night at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, AL on Saturday Night.
Mike Tweedy finished in the second spot with Alvin Gaddy third.
Tim Busha picked up the win in Super Late Model action, holding off a fierce run from Dougie King who finished in the second spot. Dingus Griffin finished third with Ross Martin fourth and Ted Lackey in fifth.
Logan Yates picked up the win in Crate Late Model action over Jimmy Elkins in second and current TST points leader Adam Martin in third.
Buddy George picked up the win in Sportsman action holding off Michael Williams who finished in the second spot and Adam Cummings in third.
Eric Smith won the IMCA Modified feature event over David Griffin who finished second and Eddie Brannon in third.
Mike Blakeney won the second Thundercar feature event of the night holding over Steven Forsythe at the line for the win. Forsythe finished in the second spot with Al Reynolds in third.
Shane Ferguson won the Street Stock feature event.
Talladega Short Track will take a summer break week this coming up weekend before getting back into action on Saturday July 11th featuring a full racing program and the IMCA Modified Summer Championship event. Gates will open at 4PM with Hot Laps at 6:30 and racing at 7:30.
