Raging Redneck Ross Martin Takes His First Win Of The Season
April 21, 2012 (Eastaboga, AL) – Racing action continues at the high banks of Talladega Short Track. A cold, windy night at the Hornets Nest did not keep Ross Martin "Raging Redneck" from stinging the other drivers in the Kilpatrick Chevrolet Super Late Model division. Lavon Sparks was "Quick Time" started on the pole position for the start feature event. Ross Martin started this event on the second row out side. Hot side by side racing from the fall of the green flag. On lap seven Martin had worked his way to the front of the field and led the final twenty three laps to take the checker flag. Terry Smith 2nd place and Tim Roszell 3rd place.
Jeremy Shaw in Crate Late Model division took home the 1st place winnings, Jimmy Elkins 2nd place, and Adam Gauldin 3rd place.
Joe Noojin took home the 1st place winnings for the third week in a row in the Sportsman division, Dallas Cooper 2nd place and Josh Adkins 3rd place.
Destin Mince wins the Open Wheel Modified division, Kevin Wadell 2nd and Lakeetha Skinner 3rd place.
Scott Magourik took home the 1st place winnings three weeks in a row in the 92.7 FM Thunder Car division, 2nd place to Zack Shelton, Chris Yarbrough 3rd place.
Nick Deweese wins the 1st place position in the Farmers Insurance Street Stocks, 2nd place; Ross May and 3rd place goes to Jerry Wilkins.
Joshua McBride wins the Dorsey’s Supermarket Hot Shots Trophy Dash. and 1st place winnings for the feature event. Taylor Gowers 2nd place and Chase McAvoy 3rd place.
