Adam Martin Takes His First Ever Super Late Model Win At The Hornets Nest

April 7, 2012 (Eastaboga, AL) – Great weather and temperatures for a big crowd at Talladega Short Track. Adam Martin started 6th for in the feature event for the Kilpatrick Chevrolet Super Late Model Division, by the 23rd lap he had charged hard to make his way to the front with the strong field of cars. The track was loaded with some of the best Super Late Models drivers in the southeast. Martin worked the high side of the speedway for this nail biting event, the track was hot with racing groves from the bottom to the top of the speedway. Martin led the balance of this 30 lap event with Jason Wilson keeping the pressure on. This Super Late Model event was Adam Matins first ever win in this division. The big crowd of fans were on their feet cheering for Martin all the way to Victory Lane. Jason Wilson 2nd place and Tim Roszell 3rd place.

Adam Gauldin takes the win for the Crate Late Model division with Ryan King 2nd place and Jimmy Elkins 3rd place.

Joe Noojin dominated the Sportsman division for the entire event with Bubba Lackey 2nd place and Bill Atkinson 3rd place.

Mini Stocks were back at the Hornets Nest with Jeremy Edwards taking home the 1st place winnings, Chip Battles 2nd place and Adam Thornton for 3rd place.

Scott Magourik takes another 1st place winnings in the Thunder 92.7 FM Thunder Car division with Zack Shelton 2nd place and Adam Magourik 3rd place.

Russell Chapman gets his 2nd win of the season in the Ponders Oxford, Alabama Farmers Insurance Street Stocks division with Donnie Key 2nd place and Troy Smith 3rd place.

Dorsey’s Supermarket Hot Shots had their first every Trophy Dash starting off the Feature event at the Talladega Short Track with Taylor Gowers taking home the Dash Trophy. Later in the feature event Josh McBride would take home the 1st place winnings with Taylor Gowers 2nd place and Jordan Wilkins 3rd place.

Talladega Short Track will be back in action Saturday Night April 14th featuring a full racing program in seven exciting divisions. Open Wheel Modified will be back this weekend. The Min Stocks division (Super Pony) will be taking this week off and return on April 21st $300 to win. Gates open at 5 PM with Hot Laps at 6:45 PM and Racing at 7:30 PM.
