2008 Street Stock Division Rules and Specifications

ALL cars are subject to inspection by track officials at any time!

CARS:

  1. ANY AMERICAN MADE AUTOMOBILE.
  2. Must weigh 3200 lbs.
  3. Chevrolet cars and engines are allowed.
  4. Cars MUST pull 17 pounds of vaccum.
  5. 108 inch minimum wheel base.
  6. NO modification to body, suspension, or engine.
  7. All glass must be removed. This includes head and taillights.
  8. All doors must be welded shut.
  9. All cars must have number on both sides and top.
  10. Front & rear Tow Loop required for wrecker purposes.

K.I.S.S.:

  1. K. = Keep   I.=It    S.=Simple   S.=Stupid
  2. If it doesn’t say yes, then it’s NO!

HI-PERFORMANCE PARTS:

  1. Other than aftermarket exhaust headers, NO high performance parts are allowed. Examples are no Holley carbs.
  2. Block must be stock with .030 maximum overbore.

WHEELS AND TIRES:

  1. Steel wheels only. Maximum size of 15 x 8.
  2. Standard street tires 60 series maximum or IMCA stamped Hoosier must have IMCA stamp on side of tire.

 

REAR ENDS:
       

      A.  Stock Type ONLY.  9” Ford OK.  Rearends MAY be locked.

 

TRANSMISSION:

        

      A.  Stock Automatic or Standard Shift.        

 

BRAKES:

      A.  MUST have four-wheel brakes.  Dual Master Cylinder OK.   

 SAFETY:

  1. Drivers must have a 5-point safety harness type seat belt.
  2. Drivers must wear helmets.
  3. Drivers must have full fire suit.
  4.  4-point roll cage mandatory and may extend through firewall.
  5. The single roll bar is a 4 or 5 inch heavy steel pipe cut to length to fit from floor to roof inside the center of the car. At each end, a one foot square plate of ¼” heavy plate steel. This plate must be welded to top and bottom of pipe. Bolt the roll bar through the roof and floor of car to make entire car part of the roll bar assembly. Use four(4) ½” or larger bolts to attach plate on each end.
  6. 4 Door bars are required.

NEW RULE:

THE DRIVER WHO WINS THE WEEK BEFORE WILL BE INVERTED THE FOLLOWING WEEK….NUMBER OF CARS TO BE INVERTED WILL BE ANNOUNCED

This will apply to championship races. Therefore, the first place finisher of the race before the championship will be inverted.
