Talladega Short Track hosts Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series for BJ Parker Memorial

Woodruff, S.C. (June 22nd, 2025) – Closing out the month of June, the Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series will head to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) on Saturday, June 28th, for the $7,542-to-win BJ Parker Memorial.

BJ Parker founded the Southern All Star Racing Series and was the promoter at Birmingham International Raceway in addition to many other racing endeavors in the south. Parker passed away in 2011 and left a lasting legacy of kindness and mentorship in the racing industry. Parker influenced many throughout his lifetime including Southern Thunder General Manager Kelley Carlton and Co-owner Travis Scott along with TST Promoter Adam Stewart.

The event marks the tour’s first-ever stop at the facility and serves as the sixth race on the 2025 schedule. The series will make a return visit to Talladega Short Track (Eastaboga, Ala.) at the end of July for the Alfred Gurley Memorial.

Admission Details:

• Grandstands: $25 for adults; kids 9 and under FREE
• Pit Admission: $40 for adults; $20 kids 6-12; kids 5 and under FREE

Joining the Southern Thunder™ Super Dirt Series on the undercard will be…CRUSA 604 Late Model, CRUSA 602 Late Model, CRUSA Modified, Factory Stocks, and Hot Shots.
