Talladega Short Track
Thursday Night Thunder has been canceled due to rain!
Talladega Short Track and USCS Racing officials have made the difficult decision to cancel the Thursday Night Thunder event scheduled for Thursday night, May 29th, 2025. Faced with already saturated grounds, saturated track surface, and forecasts calling for a high probability of rain and thunderstorms Thursday, it is in the best interest of everyone involved to cancel with advanced notice to save on travel and preparation expenses.
We apologize for the inconvenience and hate to make the call, but our chances of making the event a good one are not favorable with what we are facing. The amount of rain we have received has made preparing the facility and especially the track almost impossible when facing worsening forecasts approaching race time.
Talladega Short Track officials have also made the decision to ADD a Full Racing Program PLUS Bicycle Races to the 2025 schedule for Saturday, June 7th, 2025! We have experienced an unprecedented wet month of May and have not seen action at the track in over a month, so we will be adding the Saturday, June 7th event to allow everyone the opportunity to get some racing action in for what is set to be a busy month of June.
June 2025 Schedule at Talladega Short Track:
Saturday June 7th – Full Racing Program PLUS Bicycle Races
Saturday June 14th – $2,000 to Win CRUSA 602 LM Sportsman + Full Racing Program
Saturday June 28th – Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series BJ Parker Memorial $7,542 to Win Super Late Models PLUS Full Racing Program
